Description:
Perform technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards. Validate and verify system security requirements, establish system security designs, and build security architectures across multi-enclave environments. Support security authorization activities in compliance with DoD RMF, NIST RMF, and NISCAP processes.
- Serve as the primary security engineering representative on project teams for designing, developing, implementing, and integrating secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
- Design system and network solutions that encompass multiple enclaves, including those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
- Support the Government in enforcing trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
- Apply security engineering expertise across system integration, cross-domain solutions, COTS/GOTS cryptography, PKI, intrusion detection, and access/control mechanisms.
- Perform security planning, risk analysis, risk management, threat mitigation, and review C&A documentation for completeness.
Position Required Skills:
- Security Architecture design and cross-domain solutions
- DoD RMF, NIST RMF, and NISCAP compliance processes
- COTS/GOTS Cryptography, PKI, Identification, Authentication, and Authorization
- Multi-enclave environment security and threat/vulnerability risk mitigation
- Security testing, change management, and contingency planning
- DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II
ISSO2 Qualifications:
Twelve (12) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Must include recent experience (within the last 5 years) with Cybersecurity principles and technologies (access/control, authorization, PKI, and network/enterprise security architecture).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline.
Four (4) years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
Certifications: DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II required.
Salary Range: $173k-$212k (Annually)
The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
