Description:
Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop technical documentation and system architecture/design documentation.
Guide system development and implementation planning through system engineering management plans and system integration/test plans.
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with defined system architectures.
Support interface definition, risk management, verification planning, C&A, and other systems engineering activities throughout the life cycle.

- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems compatible with the defined system architectures.
- Contribute to system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews.
- Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities.
- Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components.
- Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions.
- Define methods, processes, and evaluation criteria for verifying systems, subsystems, and work products against requirements.
- Review and provide input to program and contract work breakdown structure, work packages, and the integrated master plan.
- Participate in interface definition, design, and configuration changes throughout the life cycle.
- Develop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services and security mechanism technology.
- Implement comprehensive SOA solutions.
- Implement operational view, technical standards view, and system and services view for architectures using applicable DoDAF standards.
- Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository.
- Assess each risk to the program and determine probability of occurrence and quantified consequence of failure.
- Plan verification efforts of new and unproven designs early in the development life cycle.
- Prepare time-line analysis diagrams illustrating the flow of time-dependent functions.
- Establish a process to control and manage changes to requirements and maintain traceability.
- Manage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time.
- Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process and other Government C&A processes.
- Support the development and review of JCIDS documents.
- Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
- Develop scenarios and an Operational Concept describing interactions between the system, the user, and the environment.
- Conduct quantitative analysis in non-functional system performance areas.
- Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams.
- Access production NiFi and ensure inbound data is operational and flowing correctly.
- Handle data management requests and change submissions.
- Coordinate any data samples needed.
- Ensure there are no backlogs or errors of data.
- Assist customers with data formatting issues.
Position Required Skills:
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems with understanding of analog to digital dataflow and conversion processes.
- Access production NiFi and ensure that inbound data is operational/flowing correctly.
- Data management requests (DMRs) and change (DCRs) submissions.
- Preliminary system design with capability to explain system design to stakeholders.
- Coordinate any data samples needed.
- Prior experience with requesting IPs be added to System Security Plans.
- Ensure there are no backlogs/errors of data.
- Assist customers with data formatting issues.
- Experience with creating and updating engineering and RF antenna drawings and network diagrams.
- Capable of creating dataflow diagrams documenting the network connections required for system functionality.
- Experience with Confluence/Jira used for communication and documentation.
- Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+) REQUIRED.
SE2 Qualifications:
Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Salary Range: **$190k-$233k (Annually)
**The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
