LCAT Description: Provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.


The Level II Software Integration Engineer (SIE) shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
  • Generate documentation for the full software stack.
  • Update software for sustainment support.
  • Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
  • Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
SIE-2 Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and have at least six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
OR
The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have six (6) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

Position Description
The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for the automation and system testing, to include the creation of technical artifacts and the coordination of deployment activities in designated HPC Linux environments.

Position Required Skills
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
  • Experience developing Bash/Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks, deploy test environments, and execute test suites
  • Experience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible
  • Experience with DevOps processes and related FOSS toolchains
  • Experience with CI/CD concepts, principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab
  • Experience integrating metrics and monitoring frameworks including Splunk
  • Experience creating documentation for reporting integration results to relevant stakeholders
Position Desired Skills
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management and collaboration
  • Experience with Git Source Control System   
Salary Range:
$170k-$2003k (Annually)*
